Today, a tip to easily find any useful information at a glance in Marketo so that you can identify what could be wrong in Marketo. I'm Sylvan Davril, founder of Merlin and Leonard and certainly the Leonard in the team. This is a new Marketo Tip. There are a number of situations when you ask yourself why this email was sent or why this email was not sent to this person, why this form did this and not that. And this is when you will go into the database and start digging into the data you have. You have plenty of information. That's one of the strengths of Marketo. You have all the Marketo fields. You have the company fields. And if you're connected with the CRM, you will have plenty of fields from your CRM plus all the activity logs that will help you understand what happened. But do you know that you have one screen here, one tab where you can organise any fields you think are necessary to understand quickly the situation? So, for instance, I've put here all the fields that could explain why an email was not delivered. They're suspended, they're block listed, do not call, email invalid, unsubscribed. I've put my field from my Preference Center. Also, that could explain a lot. Some fields regarding the acquisition, the inferred field. So any field that could help me understand quickly the situation about the person. And if I don't find it here, I will be able to deep dive into the other screens. But this is a very useful first step. How do we create this field? We go into the admin part of Marketo. In the Field Management menu, you have a tab Custom Layout Designer, and here you can drag and drop any field you deem necessary into the screen. You have two columns, and this screen is available for all your instances, so it's the same screen for all the users. So you have to choose carefully the field necessary and useful for all the team. But that's a very useful screen that's not used a lot strangely. Maybe it's because this tab is a bit hidden. Because here we all know this tab, but not necessarily this one.
