Hey, guys, glad to have you back.
Today in this Marketo Tip,
we will talk about subscription
to reports and lists,
and I will give you two examples
of reports
you could send to yourself
or your team every week.
I'm Sylvain Davril,
founder of Merlin/Leonard
and certainly the team's Leonard,
and this is a new Marketo Tip.
So, here I am in my Marketo
and what I like to receive every week
is the web visits of the past week,
either from the companies
or from the persons.
So this is what it looks like.
Every week,
I get this kind of email from Marketo,
on Monday mornings,
saying these are the companies
that went on the website last week,
and these are the persons
who went on the website,
with the number
of page views and the referrer.
So that gives a good feeling
of who was on my website
and maybe I should take some action
if I see some prospects, clients,
competitors coming on the website.
So how do we do that?
Let's go first into Marketo
in the analytics part here,
and let's click
on Company Web Activity, here.
I can set up the report
to see the last seven days here,
and I want to see especially
the anonymous people,
excluding the ISPs.
The known persons, I've got them
already in my Marketo sales insights
into my CRM, so I don't really
need to see the report,
the known persons coming on my website.
So here I've set up the reports.
I've not excluded anyone
through the smart list here.
I've got the report
for the last seven days.
And what you need to do to subscribe
is first to save your report here
in one of your folders.
You can save that in your reports
or in the group folder.
So I've saved that here,
which is the last week visits in French.
And here on this report I just saved,
I can subscribe here to this report,
so I've already subscribed,
but if I do a new subscription
I can enter email recipients here.
So multiple persons separated
by commas or semicolons.
The good thing is that I can send
this report to anybody,
even if this person is not
a Marketo user, so that's great.
I define here a frequency.
So I choose every Monday morning
and basically it's done.
I see my subscription here.
Here, I can test the report
through this icon,
just to see exactly
what the email will look like.
And I can edit here this subscription.
So, for instance, if I want to remove
someone here, just that.
Same for the person Web Page Activity,
which is this one.
Set up here with the last seven days,
anonymous visitors, no exclusion here.
I've got the report.
Then I save the report in my folders.
We did that, I will not do that again.
It's here.
Persons visits of the last week in French
and I can subscribe here,
again, same process:
email recipient, frequency
and you're done.
Quick tip here: it may be difficult
once you have saved numerous reports
and subscribed to plenty of those
to find exactly all your subscriptions.
Please note that at the top
of the hierarchy here, in Default,
you will see this subscription tab
that will summarise
all the subscriptions you have
for all the reports
on the analytics screen,
which is great to manage
your subscriptions
and see everybody who subscribed.
It's exactly the same in Marketing
Activities and Database
because yes,
you can also subscribe to any list.
Let's take whatever lists.
For instance, this one.
In the list here,
I can subscribe to this list.
So I just need to put a name.
So here, in this recipient
are the users in the database.
I cannot type someone.
I can type someone, sorry.
Users are proposed
but I think you can add anybody.
Let's check that. Sylvain Davril.
I've never tried that but yeah,
it's working.
So I can add multiple people
even if they are not users
and choose the frequency.
Again, format, when it should end.
So a slight difference in options here.
I create the subscription
and again, I will see my subscription
if I go to the top of the screen here,
in the Subscriptions tab.
Here I've not subscribed
to any list of the database.
I think in Marketing Activities,
I have subscribed to some.
Yeah, I see my subscription
to some lists in marketing activities,
I've got that.
And this is where
I can manage my subscriptions.
It's not used very often,
so I hope you will find that interesting
and start subscribing
to some reports and lists.
Bye, guys!
